Other Committee · Meeting of June 22, 2026

Templeton's Agricultural Commission set three farmers market dates tied to summer concerts and reported a thinning Community Garden budget. The commission's chair announced markets for June 28, July 19 and August 2 on the town common, paired with Cultural Council concerts, with about 20 vendors expressing interest and at least four bringing agricultural goods. Members approved May 7 minutes unanimously, 4-0.

The Community Garden, funded with a $5,880 Town Meeting appropriation, has spent just over $2,500, leaving $3,370 for a planned events kiosk and replacement shed. The chair said the garden now runs on 10 new metal beds plus five existing wooden ones, with volunteers earning vegetables "if you put in time volunteering." Member Dave reported the orchard avoided a freeze that hit New Jersey, Connecticut, New York and Pennsylvania, while Tim said he is ending pick-your-own blueberry hours this season.
