TEMPLETON — The Templeton Community Preservation Committee voted 5-0 to approve September's minutes and began planning removal of dying trees from the town Common. Committee members Kerry, Mike, John, George and Louise confirmed the minutes vote by roll call. A member said Mike Dixon would lead the tree effort, with quotes for large tree removal running about $1,500 each, and called the die-off "a massive die out, you know, scourge of the earth" rather than routine maintenance.
The panel also reported the Boynton Library renovation is nearly complete, with a $717 signage account crediting a donation from the Norfords family, and voted unanimously to cancel its November 12 meeting, moving the next session to December 10.
