Templeton's Select Board voted 5-0 to put $2 million and $4 million override questions on a May ballot. Town Administrator James Ryan said he would prepare three budget versions: no override, $2 million and $4 million. A speaker put the combined town and school gap at roughly $3.3 million.
Robert May said neither a $2 million nor $3 million override would close it: "either one of these would still demand cuts." The board dropped a public services truck from Article 4 in favor of town hall windows and voted 4-1 to end the animal control agreement and hire two on-call officers. It also lifted the 25-car limit at Franklin Park Enterprises on Baldwinville Road, effective April 27.
