Select Board · Meeting of April 10, 2026
TEMPLETON — The Select Board approved wording for two override questions on the May 18 ballot. Meeting in special session April 10, with member Timothy Toth attending by Zoom, the board voted 4-0 on Question 1A, seeking an additional $2 million, and Question 1B, seeking an additional $4 million, both to fund the Town and the Narragansett Regional School District for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026. A member said he would prefer the amounts broken out, calling himself "just one voice out of the group." Toth voted "reluctantly, yes." A second 4-0 vote added ballot instructions, pending town clerk approval, saying the higher-dollar question prevails if both pass.
