Templeton's Conservation Commission cleared a $290,000 grant-funded repaving plan for 1.5 miles of Berry Road and pushed a stalled snowmobile-trail permit review into its sixth month. The commission voted 4-0 to issue a negative determination for the Department of Public Works' Berry Road pavement rehabilitation, with an engineer identified only as Alex explaining the project grew from a Rural Development Fund study of drainage conditions near the Hubbardston town line. Conservation Agent Jessica Case said regulators would allow routine culvert maintenance but would require a full permit for any replacement.
Commissioners also approved a modification for erosion controls at Valley View Farm 3-0 with one abstention, issued a certificate of compliance for 18 Phillipston Road, and continued the Colebrook Snowmobile Club's trail-crossing application to September 21 after the club supplied just two of five requested items since February, with member Jo-Anne Burdin noting, "It's just been inactive. It just keeps going on."
